Every parent knows just how much kids love drawing on the wallsâand they probably have their own horror story of checking up on play time to find a marker mess to prove it. With a chalkboard wall, your kids can draw away without the messy cleanup. Here are two different ways to create a chalkboard wall.
Paint an accent wall with chalkboard paint.
Chalkboard paint creates a chalkboard surface on any wall or piece of furniture. Create an accent wall in your childâs bedroom or playroom by filling in any imperfections with spackle, sanding down the wall, washing with water, and allowing the wall to dry before painting. Imperfections are especially noticeable under chalkboard paint as your child starts to draw, so make sure the wall is completely smooth before painting.
